Thought(s) for Today

This morning as I walked home from the polling place, I heard a bird whose song I hadn’t heard before. I looked for the thing, but couldn’t see it. It made me think of the magpies back in Anchorage and how I wanted to bring one back to Chicago with me.
As I walked some more, I wondered what would have happened if I HAD brought a magpie home with me. Then I thought how great it would have been if I’d brought TWO magpies home with me and they mated and then there would be magpies flying all around this part of the city. Then I thought, what would have happened if I’d brought the two magpies specifically to mate them, and the male turned out to be gay? This made me think of Noah’s Ark and how messed up THAT would’ve been if all the males of each animal species all turned out to be a bunch of homos. How would that have affected religion?
This afternoon I purchased a book of works by Raphael, Michelangelo, Titian, Leonardo, Giotto, and Botticelli. Their work is amazing. How great would it be to be able to eat their paintings and then their skills and mastery of color and line would be inside me and I could use it whenever I wanted?
