Back to Life, Back to Reality
I'm back home after my wonderful Alaskan adventure. My hosts were very gracious and just totally rock all around. There's so much to write about the time spent there. I should have been writing, but there was way too much to do and e-mail exchanges with my pals back here went way into early morning leading to a change in sleep patterns (I started staying up late and getting up late).
Currently, Joey has the flu and I'm hoping he didn't give it to me, as we worked out together this morning.
Sporadic access to a computer means that I will miss writing some things, but they are living in my head and probably won't go away until they are writ.
It's good to be back among those I missed, but now I miss those who I left in Alaska. A trip back is in my future. How do I get Cher, Joey, Mrs. DLH, Effie, Max, and the other cast of characters in my life to go to Alaska with me? Papa Fazul will be in Oregon in a couple of years and has told Joey and me we can always visit him there.
So now I'm adjusting to the old me, although I like the Alaskan me--a more laid back, nicer me. The great thing about being back is that I'm pretending I'm a tourist here from Alaska. I hope that will sustain me.
